Sessions
Sessions are held at The Carleton pub, Hardwick Road, Pontefract on Tuesday and Thursday evenings all year round.
Tuesdays – 6.50pm meet for a 7.00pm run brief and then split into two groups – one doing 5km and one doing 5miles. There are run leaders on each session and we can cater for all paces. On the first Tuesday of the month we switch up the 5miles up to 10km instead.
Thursdays – 6.50pm meet for a 7.00pm run brief and then split into two groups – one doing a 20minute out and back route where the group runs a route for 20 minutes before turning round and heading back. The other group is a Coached session led by one of our Club Coaches. These sessions are to help you focus on a particular aspect of running, be it speed, hills, intervals, mentality, varying speeds, but in a fun and thoughtful way so you can think about how you’d apply your coaching into a run or parkrun or event. These sessions are for all abilities and experiences.
All our sessions can be found on our Stack Team App including routes and how to sign up for the sessions.
Group Runs

Coached Sessions
Build confidence and find your rhythm with coached sessions, with Q+A’s to help understand the logic and background to the coaching.

Having Fun On The Runs
Being a part of Carleton Running is fun. We enjoy our runs. We enjoy each other’s company. We enjoy the fun side of being a club as well as the run bits! Our club day’s out for either parkrun tourism, or celebrating milestones, or races gives us opportunities to celebrate everyone regardless of pace or times.

Run Together
Every session starts with us coming together as a group for the main brief then splitting into two groups for the run leaders to brief the route, make sure everyone knows where they are going and who they’re running with.

Making Memories
Whether you’re new to running or building towards a goal, there’s so many fun times ahead of you when you run with Carleton Running.

Parkrun Tourism
Join us for our monthly parkrun tourism trips. We also run at local on other Saturdays too, so you can get your fix of running with club mates on weekends too.
